Dana-Thomas House Volunteer Opportunities
INTERPRETIVE TOURS
There is an average of 3,650-guided tours given per year at the Dana-Thomas House. If showing off is your thing…we need you as an interpretive volunteer!
THE SUMAC SHOP
There are daytime opportunities to volunteer at the Sumac Shop, located on the premises of the Dana-Thomas House. Maintained by the Dana-Thomas House Foundation and run by volunteers, this museum gift shop on site features an extensive collection of books on Frank Lloyd Wright, the Prairie style and the Arts and Crafts period.
SUMMER SERENADE
Summer Serenade is an evening fundraiser that includes a cocktail party with a silent auction format, held mid-June. Volunteers are needed for either ½- or 1 hour shifts throughout the event for things such as registration and cleanup.
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Frank Lloyd Wright’s Birthday Celebration on June 6th and Susan Lawrence Dana’s Birthday Celebration on October 10th are fun events where volunteers are needed to serve refreshments and fill balloons.
